Parul Gupta is a journalist, story writer, editor and research analyst. An alumnus of Delhi School of Economics, she has worked with the Observer Group as well as various publishing houses and NGOs. She has edited two volumes for Observer Research Foundation and has completed extensive editorial projects for Oxford University Press. She has been a consultant with Times Career Services and HUDCO and provided editorial support to the Thirteenth Finance Commission. Parul has written stories for various volumes in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, articles for Deccan Herald and various other publications and blogs. She has run story workshops and has been a volunteer author for Pratham Books. She contributed stories and poems for the English language school textbooks by Collins India. She conducts English Language training workshops for participants across various age and ability levels. She has been a guest speaker and facilitator at Teach for India workshops. She was formerly visiting faculty at the Times School of Journalism where she conducted a co-curricular programme in language training and creative writing for Words and More, a venture that she has co-founded to promote excellence in language use and creative writing (http://www.wordsandmore.in/).
